ORVIS ENDORSED

Welcome to Vermejo Park Ranch, an exclusive private getaway.

Bull elk call from forested ridges while black bear and mountain lions prowl nearby. Pronghorn  sprint across the meadows while raptors fish the miles of lakes and streams. The sun rises above snow-covered peaks, and the Milky Way floats across the night sky.

Whether you plan to hunt, fish or enjoy 920 square miles of pristine mountain wilderness, Vermejo Park Ranch is the place to relax and unwind.

Beginning at 13,000 feet in the mountains, streams meander through the Ranch, eventually reaching the short prairie grass.

In the grasses you'll find pronghorn, prairie dogs, bison & black-footed ferrets, the most endangered mammal in North America. The Ranch is home to 262 species of birds, 76 species of mammals, 30 species of fish, 20 species of reptiles, eight species of amphibians, 32 species of mollusks and 275 species of insects.

This diverse biology is spread across five distinct ecological zones starting at the short-grass prairie and ascending to the alpine tundra.
